As seen in blog post "CBD vs CBN: What's the difference" that you can view here.
Many people confuse CBN and CBD due to their similar acronym. However, despite their comparable names, CBD and CBN are different. CBD, or cannabidiol, is a chemical compound that naturally occurs in hemp. CBD is a naturally occurring, non-psychoactive substance that is used in products like CBD oils and CBD edibles to convey a feeling of relaxation and calm. CBN, or cannabinol, is derived via a chemical conversion process that transforms CBD into CBN. CBN is fat-soluble, non-psychoactive, non-toxic and one of the many chemical compounds also found in hemp.
Research on both cannabinoids is in the early stages. However, there is currently more research on CBD, because it is usually the second most common cannabinoid found in a hemp plant according to the National Library of Medicine. Early studies are showing that combining different cannabinoids results in what is s called the entourage effect, which means that each cannabinoid’s effects are enhanced when they are combined. There is ongoing scientific research supporting the benefits of CBD and CBN use for sleep, chronic pain relief, anti-inflammatory effects and more.
Although CBD or CBN may have the capability to aid you with your current wellness routine, you should not use either as a replacement for proven therapies and treatments. Please talk with your physician before taking CBD, CBN, or other new supplements.
