Keep Your Immune System Strong CBD Emporium

All of us at CBD Emporium are thinking of all our customers during this stressful time. With everything going on, it’s more important than ever to be healthy or to start your journey to getting healthy.  We believe one of the pillars in health and wellness is including CBD in your regimen.  It is a great foundation in which to build on. However, with a virus like Covid-19, there is nothing more important than your immunity. You need to take the right actions to boost your immune system and keep your body strong right now.

Here are some quick tips to help.

Reduce your stress.

Chronic stress weakens the immune system. Consider turning off the 24-hour news networks, putting your phone down and going for a walk. Just unplug for a little while. It’s a crazy time right now, AND, we will make it through this. I encourage you to really be mindful of your stress levels and consciously take actions to reduce your stress.

Exercise.

Exercise is a simple way to boost your immune system. It can also ease stress. Just 30 minutes a day of riding your bike, walking, doing yoga or simply stretching is enough to make a difference. If you want to stay healthy right now, you need to move your body.

Sleep more.

Without good sleep, your immune system won’t have the time and strength that it needs to fight off illnesses. You need about 7-9 hours of sleep per night. Sleep cycles last about 90 minutes so if you want to wake up feeling your best, set your alarm to wake you at the end of one of these cycles. Meaning, 7.5 hours or 9 hours will have you feeling more rested than 8 hours of sleep or waking in the middle of a 90-minute sleep cycle.

Eat the organic rainbow.

Colorful fruits and vegetables are full of antioxidants. These nutrients guard against free radicals that can harm your cells. Try getting a wide range like leafy greens, oranges, bananas, yellow peppers, etc. Fresh juices and smoothies are also great ways to get those nutrients.

Minimize the sugar and junk food.

It’s super stressful right now. I get it. And we all have our vices. A lot of us turn to sugary treats because we get the quick dopamine hit but it’s short lived. And we’re back for more and more. This can greatly lower our immune systems. And while we think it's helping with the stress, it isn’t. It’s making us MORE susceptible to disease and illnesses. Which is the last thing that we want right now.

Stay positive. LAUGH. Find ways to be happy.

We all know that laughing can boost your immune system and help heal you, often when medications can’t. Having a positive outlook and having hope will do way more towards having a strong immune system than stress and worrying will. Find ways to stay positive.
